The Showcast Platform allows users to watch live event streams with interaction functions between registered users such as chat, q & a’s, polls, among others.
The owner of the Showcast Platform is Audioline – Soluções Audiovisuais, Lda, a company incorporated and registered in Mainland Portugal at the commercial registry office in Setúbal under the NIF: 514697296, based in Rua Pedro Nunes Nº24 – 8ºB, 2780-142 Oeiras.
Showcast is committed to complying with the legislation on the protection of personal data, privacy and information security, in order to protect the personal data and privacy of users of its Platform in relation to the personal data collected and / or transmitted online when of using it.
The security and privacy of the personal data of Showcast users are of paramount importance to Showcast as Responsible for the Treatment of said personal data, and for which Showcast has put in place and will always continue to put measures in place necessary to ensure that Showcast is always fully committed to compliance with the applicable legislation in these matters.

The Platform includes options related to social media platforms, including the “Share” or “Follow” button on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and YouTube.
The Showcast Platform may also include links to other sites whose privacy practices are different from those of Showcast. If you submit your personal data to any of these sites, your personal data will be managed by the privacy policies of those sites.
Your personal data is requested upon registration on the Showcast Platform, via the respective online registration form, in order for the user to have access to specific features of the platform, subscribing of newsletters, and/or receiving notifications of events taking place on the Showcast platform, among other services.
Showcast also collects information about your computer’s hardware and software. Such information may include your IP address, type of browser, domain names, access times / time of use of the Platform, content viewed and address of the Platform pages viewed.

Your personal data is collected and necessary to ensure the identity of the user, and the provision of the data requested in the act of registration on the Showcast Platform is mandatory so that the user can access the available services.
The user will be able to update the provided information whenever he/she wants and with total autonomy, in the “My Account” area after logging in, by entering his username and password.
The registering actions of providing personal data are duly protected. All information is encrypted and managed with the most advanced security tools.
In addition to the aforementioned purposes, Showcast may also use your personal data to maintain the quality of the services provided and to obtain general statistics regarding the use of the Platform. For these purposes, Showcast combines the data collected automatically with personal data, such as name and email address.
We use your personal data to ensure that the content on the Platform is suited to your needs, as well as to:
Your personal data may also be used by Showcast to communicate events that Showcast believes are of interest to you or to send newsletters, according to your preferences. However, the user may disable the sending of such communications at any time by accessing the Platform, in the respective user area or by activating the option available to him in each newsletter received to interrupt the subscription of the newsletter in question or even by sending an email to [email protected]
As mentioned, the Showcast team assumes the challenge and responsibility to protect as much as possible the privacy and personal data of all users of the Platform. Showcast uses your personal data internally and will only share such data with third parties when you have requested it or the user has given their consent for this purpose.
All processing of personal data carried out by Showcast is lawful and has a legal basis, either (i) based on your consent regarding the processing of the personal data in question for the respective purposes; either (ii) because the processing in question is necessary for the performance of a contract in which Showcast and the user, as the holder of the personal data, are parties, or for pre-contractual steps at the request of the personal data holder concerned; or (iii) because the treatment is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation to which Showcast is subject; either (iv) because the processing is necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests pursued by Showcast, while being responsible for the processing, or by third parties.
Showcast will retain your personal data as long as your registration is active or as needed for the relevant activity, that is, as long as necessary to provide you with the services provided by Showcast (and without prejudice to any legal obligation that requires the conservation of personal data strictly necessary beyond those retention periods).
The users have the option to delete their account on the Platform at any time.
If you delete your account on the Platform, your personal data associated with your account will be deleted without undue delay.
Showcast is the solely entity responsible for the collection of personal data carried out on the Showcast Platform.

The Showcast Platform will not make the personal data of the registered users available to any third party entity without the prior knowledge and acceptance on the part of the user, by agreeing to this procedure on the registration form.
The Showcast takes all necessary and legally required precautions to guarantee the protection of the information collected from its users through the Platform, taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementing implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of treatment, as well as as the risks, of probability and variable severity, for your personal data. In this sense, Showcast applies the technical and organizational measures necessary to guarantee a level of security appropriate to the specific risk in question. These precautions seek to ensure the online and offline security of that information.
However, it is the sole responsibility of the users of the Platform to keep their access codes confidential, not to share them with third parties and, in the particular case of the devices used to access the Platform, to keep them in safe conditions of use, following the practices security measures recommended by manufacturers and/or operators, namely the installation of operating system updates and update of the necessary security applications including, among others, anti-virus applications.
Under the terms of the GDPR, as the holder of personal data and in relation to the personal data subject to treatment by the Showcast, the user of the Platform has the following rights, to be exercised under the terms of the GDPR and other applicable personal data legislation:
Showcast will make every effort that appears appropriate under the terms of the applicable legislation in order to provide, correct or delete your personal data that is being processed by Showcast.
If the referred requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, namely due to their repetitive nature, Showcast may refuse to comply with the request.
When the treatment is based on your consent, the user of the Platform has the right to withdraw his consent at any time, without compromising the lawfulness of the treatment given by Showcast to his personal data based on the consent previously given.
Within the scope of the conditions of use of the Showcast Platform and all its services, the user undertakes to provide and keep updated and true all his personal data. In turn, Showcast guarantees the user the possibility to correct and update their data, preferably, through the option “My Account”, available on the Platform, in addition to the means already mentioned above.
Showcast has a mechanism for managing incidents related to data protection, privacy and information security.
Showcast makes every effort to maintain and apply the most appropriate threat detection technologies to identify and respond to security or privacy incidents (and any personal data breaches under the GDPR) without undue delay.
This Policy may be updated over time, so it is advisable to consult this Policy on a regular basis. If you do not agree with any changes made to this Policy, we ask that you do not continue to use the Showcast Platform. In the event that relevant changes are made to the Showcast Platform Terms and Conditions of Use or this Policy, in particular changes that affect the purposes for which Showcast treats the personal data of its users, Showcast may promote a specific communication for the disclosure of the occurrence of such changes, using, for this purpose, one or more communication channels that it has with its users.
